Location: Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina
Driving north on highway 276 from Brevard, turn right on FR 477 which is the first right after the Pisgah Ranger Station. Drive 2.5 miles to the trailhead and parking area on the right. The Avery Creek Trail is blazed yellow here (although the trail sign says the blaze is blue).
