The Maddron Bald trailhead is off highway 321 between Gatlinburg and Cosby. Driving north on highway 321 turn right onto Baxter Road a little way past Jellystone Campground, about 3 miles south of Cosby. Drive about a half mile down Baxter Road and take a sharp right at the Maddron Bald trailhead sign. There is a small parking area at the trailhead.
